With new flagship devices being released over the last few months, hardware vendors are chasing Apple and Samsung for 3rd place. This week 51Degrees.mobi looks at web traffic from the flagship smartphones of Nokia, Blackberry, HTC and Sony over the last 4 months.
% Global Web Traffic from Xperia Z, Lumia 920, Z10 and One
The Nokia Lumia 920 was released in early December 2012 giving it a head start. Whilst it's lead has been eroded it's still holding on to 2nd place and is the only phone running Windows Phone.
The Sony Xperia Z has seen the fastest growth indicating promising times ahead for Sony.
The HTC One has been plagued with delays, causing web traffic from the new device to fall below both the Blackberry Z10 and Xperia Z, which were released at similar times.
Once HTC manage to solve the device stock problems, will we see a large adoption rate? Or will the huge delays stunt the growth of the HTC One for good? Will the Lumia 920's share continue to decline or could there be mileage in Windows Phone yet?
