This week was very exciting for android fans who were waiting for Google's new operating system and constantly updating their devices to see the latest Lollipop version on specific mobiles. Simultaneously with Android 5.0, Google has also revealed new devices such as smartphone Nexus 6 from Motorola, tablet Nexus 9 from HTC and TV box Nexus Player in cooperation with Asus.
Let's look at the Nexus 6
Motorola, after a break and its successful Moto series is coming back to the market with its new powerful Nexus 6. Apart from a nice design the Nexus 6 has very good technical specifications that will encourage attention from almost all mobile enthusiasts.
It runs on Android Lollipop which has many interesting features that we have already described in another article. Click here.
A large 5.96 inches AMOLED screen size will allow for better content viewing on a website whilst browsing the Internet or more comfortable typing on the virtual keyboard. Pictures, videos and fonts will look much better thanks to a great resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. Improved Gorilla Glass 3 technology that is designed to make a device more damage resistant, will help protect the Nexus 6 screen against scratches and at the same time it will reduce the danger of breaking it.
The Nexus 6 is equipped with two cameras, back and front 13 MP and 2 MP accordingly. A dual LED ring flash will be useful for those who would like to take photos of objects close to the device. A more powerful double LED makes the flash brighter and as a result producing a better picture. On the other hand however, it consumes more battery. According to Motorola the Nexus 6 has 3220 mAh battery capacity that should last up to 24h of mixed usage. It is also possible to quickly and simply charge the device through the wireless Qi docking station.
Although Motorola's new smartphone has 3GB RAM and up to 64 GB ROM, which is pretty good memory storage, surprisingly there is no room for a micro SD slot that would allow the addition of extra capacity if needed.
Good news for those who like playing games on their mobiles though because the Nexus 6 is powered by quad-core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, which is designed to provide a more realistic gaming experience through 4K Ultra HD video and supported by Adreno 420 GPU.
Both the Americas and Global models of Nexus 6 will have high-speed data connectivity LTE and Bluetooth version of 4.1. Contactless NFC technology that allows making payment through apps on the smartphone will make life easier for everybody who likes smart and quick cashless transactions.
No need to worry about getting lost with the Nexus 6 due to the A-GPS feature which speeds up the time of determining locations.
What's more, there's no need to worry if the phone gets wet due to Motorola making the Nexus 6 waterproof.
