Britain's mobile web usage has more than doubled since 2010
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), British people are becoming more and more addicted to the internet. Their data shows an increase in mobile web usage, from 24% in 2010 to 53% in 2013.

- 73% of British adults use the internet every day.
- 55% of people use the internet to access news
- 72% of people use the internet to purchase goods
Google publish new guidelines to promote better mobile optimisation
Google released new guidelines and an updated PageSpeed Insights tool last week to help webmasters optimise their mobile pages for performance. In short, the goal is to make the mobile web faster by prioritizing how content loads.
Today's average mobile page typically takes more than 7 seconds to load, according to Google's data. Performance on mobile continues to improve, but there is still a long way to go.

Firefox 23 arrives with a new logo and added features
Mozilla have released Firefox 23 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android last week. In addition to the new logo improvements include: share button, mixed content blocker and a desktop network monitor. Read more.
